Matt Kinnee worked as foreman on our heritage designated house as we took it down to the studs, raised it, dug out a basement, built a new foundation, developed the unfinished attic space, built an addition and redesigned the main floor. The project in total took nearly 2.5 years.

We were continually impressed with the depth and breadth of Matt’s carpentry skills, particularly when faced with the challenging finishing work in the sharply angled attic. His refinishing of the original doors and wainscoting was incredible. Moreover, he was a pleasure to work with, explaining our options clearly and was able to offer sound advice on both structural and aesthetic components of the project. Matt built us our family home and we couldn’t be more pleased with his work.

Matt and his team at Kinnee Contracting have been a pleasure to deal with. They took the care and attention that our heritage rebuild required. It was a complex project that required a true builder with a keen eye for detail, and the experience to make our vision a reality. The project required everything from blasting rock so we could do our addition, to the matching of very detailed existing trim, as well as building a complex roofline on our new dormer.

Matt was always two steps ahead of any unexpected details. He stuck to the schedule and was very budget conscious every step of the way.

We hired Matt and his team to do a separate entryway in our garage and we are so pleased with the results! Matt is a very thorough professional who takes a lot of care in his clients’ needs, making the entire experience a great one.
